Four-night breaks for two from £99 with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire

Chase away the post-Christmas blues on a four-night break from just £99 per couple, courtesy of Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire.

This special £99 Spring Short Break deal applies between 5 January and 2 April (excluding weeks beginning 9 and 16 February) at selected cottages in a choice of coastal or countryside locations and is based on two people sharing one bedroom in the chosen property.

Featured £99 properties include Heather Cottage, a traditional property converted from an original stone barn in the quite hamlet of Rogeston and less than a five-minute drive from the beaches at Nolton and Druidston.  It is full of character with A-frame beams, a vaulted ceiling, stone walls and slate floors.

Or for just a little more at £125 for four nights is Ivy Cottage, situated just a three-minute stroll from the beach in the picturesque little fishing village of Little Haven and ideally placed for walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.  The cottage has been carefully renovated by local craftsmen and the cosy sitting room has an open fire

For those who require a separate bedroom, an extra charge of £15 applies, and additional guests at the chosen cottage are charged at £49 each for four nights.  Some cottages may be subject to a modest fuel charge and this special offer is valid for telephone bookings only.

Dogs are welcome at selected properties at a charge of £10 per pet.

Pembrokeshire star of TV’s Springwatch Easter Special

A one-off Easter special on BBC2 25 March (Good Friday) spotlights Britain’s only coastal National Park – beautiful Pembrokeshire!

Martin Hughes-Games explores the island of Skomer on the first boat trip of the season out to the bird sanctuary; Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan join a beach clean at Freshwater West.

TV viewers will see Pembrokeshire’s breath-taking coastline in all its spring glory, from the soft sands of Broad Haven Beach to the rocky coves surrounding Milford Haven.

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire has a superb range of more than 550 holiday homes, many with sea views or easy access to the coastal path.

The company also runs a Concierge Service, offering a range of local services which can be arranged at the same time as booking a holiday cottage, including wildlife boat trips.

Easter is very much the start of the holiday season in Pembrokeshire, but coastal properties still available include:

Skokholm View – named for another off-shore island, this luxurious penthouse apartment for two, is a contemporary pad with views over the coast. It is part of a Georgian house surrounded by generous grounds close to the harbour village of Solva.  The Coastal Path is about 400 yards from the front door, making Skokholm View a great base for walking in Pembrokeshire. Arrive Good Friday 25 March and pay £519.

The Gann – enjoys a spectacular estuary-side location within a Site of Special Scientific Interest teeming with wildlife, approached by an unmade track (so a low-slung sports car is not ideal) but for those with family-friendly 4x4s, this is a comfy cottage in a glorious spot with an open-plan lounge/diner and veranda overlooking the shoreline. With a double room and a bunk-bedded room to sleep four a week’s rental starting 2 April is £511.
