Short breaks at Early May Bank Holiday with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire

With Easter now behind us and for those looking forward to the next, Coastal Cottage of Pembrokeshire is highlighting short break packages to a choice of properties at early May Bank Holiday.

With panoramic views across Carmarthen Bay and just a two-minute walk from the beach at Saundersfoot is White Sails, a smart property (sleeping six in three bedrooms) with stunning vistas from its front glass edged terrace. A short stroll leads to the centre of this picture-postcard village with its independent shops, pubs and restaurants.  Three nights from 4 May cost £605.

New Year’s Eve in St Davids with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire

Five-star Christmas and New Year cottages in Pembrokeshire reduced by 25%

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire has announced savings of 25% on a selection of ‘top notch’ properties for Christmas and New Year, each set in stunning surroundings, exquisitely furnished and with lots of extras such as a welcome hamper with wine, fruit, plants, fluffy dressing gowns and quality toiletries.

These include The Cheese House (sleeping four) which, as the name suggests, was originally used for the storage of maturing cheeses.  The property has an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove and an oak staircase leads to the two bedrooms and bathroom. It is set in a large grassed garden, with access to a further two acres, in the hamlet Lochvane – which the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passes through – and is a short drive from the tiny city of St Davids and the beach at Solva.  A week from 22 December now costs £604 (saving £196) or, from 29 December, £720 (a reduction of £235.)

Christmas cottages, traditional or trendy, with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire

 

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a selection of Christmas cottages of all sizes, including traditional cottages and farmhouses with woodburning stoves, along with cutting-edge contemporary properties furnished with iconic modern pieces.

This superb cottage – with beams, oak floors and two woodburning stoves – is set in two acres of landscaped grounds in the village of Bosherton.  There’s a bespoke fitted kitchen with an Aga, two sitting rooms, a dining room, four bedrooms (one ensuite) and two further bath/shower rooms.  The village ‘local’ is within comfortable walking distance, as is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the beach at Broad Haven South.  A week at Christmas costs £1300.

Finally, for those looking for a contemporary property, Merlin House is a truly spectacular house nestling in the sand dunes overlooking Freshwater East. The first floor is given over to an open-plan living area – sitting room, dining room and kitchen – where floor to ceiling windows lead on to a decked balcony edged with glass to maximise the glorious views.  The property (sleeping 11 in five bedrooms) has been decorated in muted natural tones and is furnished in a minimalistic style combining designer pieces, including a Ron Arad rocking chair, with classic vintage items.   Seven nights from 22 December cost £1654.

October half-term cottages reduced to less than £400 per week…

 

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a selection of ‘family-sized’ seaside properties for October half-term, reduced in price and now costing less than £400 for seven nights.

These include Inglenook Cottage (sleeping four) in Broad Haven, a cosy stone property with lots of original features including exposed stone walls, wooden floors, beams and an open-fire. The property, which also has a decked roof garden, is just a short stroll from the beach and is ideally placed for walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.  Seven nights from 25 October are now priced at £395, saving £99.

In the bustling little seaside village of Saundersfoot – with its superb beach, harbour and shops and restaurants – is 20 Captains Walk, a spacious apartment with an open-plan living area, two bedrooms (one en suite) and two balconies.  Lots of fun family attractions are close by including the Manor House Wildlife Park and the Oakwood Theme Park.  A week from 25 October now costs £393, a reduction of £98.
