Kids Go Free on PGL February Half Term Breaks

PGL Family Adventure breaks in Wiltshire and Shropshire now have free places for children, saving up to £598 when a family of two adults and two kids take a four-night break at half term.

Book by 1 February and each full-paying adult can now take a child aged five to 18 years along for FREE!

For example, a family booking a four-night break starting Monday 18 February at PGL’s superb Liddington adventure centre in Wiltshire and opting for separate rooms for parents and children pays £349 per adult, saving £299 on each free child place.

Family rooms are also available: adults pay £329, and the free child place is worth £279.

Breaks include ensuite accommodation, all meals and activities ranging from abseiling to zip wire thrills, plus family-friendly evening fun and use of centre facilities such as floodlit sports pitches, welcoming lounges and a bar.

Two-night February half term breaks at Liddington starting Fridays 15 and 22 February are also included in the offer, with prices starting at £149 per adult, saving £129 per child.

PGL’s Boreatton Park adventure centre, set in 240 acres of Shropshire countryside, is also offered for February half term breaks on the same dates, with the same free child offer.

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a wealth of properties for February half-term including, new on the books, Habititabities, a fabulous detached house – with a tongue-twisting name – in the seaside town of Tenby.

The property, with a double-sided woodburner, sleeps 10 in five en suite bedrooms and has two sitting rooms so there is lots of room to relax and spread out.  It is backed by mature woodland and a pleasant walk across a field to a footpath leads to Tenby and its four glorious beaches.  A seven-night holiday from 15 February costs £750.

Also new for 2019 and with February half-term availability is Awel y Mor, a superb detached property on the outskirts of the seaside town of Newport and with stunning sweeping sea views over the Nevern Estuary, Newport Sands and out to sea.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms (one en suite) and has a large sitting/dining room and a modern fitted kitchen which leads to a playroom in the conservatory.  There are lots of spots to soak up the view in the garden including paved terraces at the front and rear of the property and a raised lawn.  A week from 15 February is priced at £590.

Finally in the village of Dinas and a stroll of around half a mile from the sandy cove of Pwllgwaellod, is Henllan Cottage.

This beautifully updated holiday home – also making its debut in 2019 –  is decorated in a contemporary style with bright bold colours and sleeps six in three bedrooms (one en suite).  Seven nights from 16 February cost £599.

February half-term with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire…

For those planning their February half-term getaway, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a choice of cosy cottages, perfectly placed for winter walking and visiting the county’s many family-friendly attractions.

Properties on offer include the Old School House in Bosherton, a spacious character cottage with stone walls, beams and two wood-burning stoves. The house, as the name suggests, was the former home of the village school master and is set in extensive lawned gardens with lots of space for children to play and ‘let off steam’. It sleeps six in three bedrooms and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is on the doorstep.

A short stroll leads to the picturesque Bosherton Lily Ponds – formed from a series of flooded limestone valleys and home to resident otters – and from here a walk leads to the sandy beach of Broadhaven South. The historical town of Pembroke and its ancient castle is just five miles away, while slightly further afield is the bustling seaside resort of Tenby. A seven-night holiday from 13 February is priced at £605.

Situated above the beach at Newgale is Bramble Cottage, where a week’s holiday from 12 February costs £680. This beautifully furnished property sleeps six in three bedrooms (one en suite) and most of the rooms – including the upstairs sitting room – enjoy panoramic sea views. A five-minute stroll leads to the beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Family-fun attractions in Pembrokeshire include the Heatherton Sport’s Park, the Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, the Manor House Wildlife Park, along with Ritec Valley Quad Biking.  Tickets for many activities – such as horseriding, and watersports – can be pre-booked via Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire’s Concierge Service.
