Parents Go Free on PGL Family Adventures

An amazing new offer from PGL Family Adventures saves up to £1048 on a family week in France and up to £808 on a week’s holiday in the UK.

One parent is free, and a second adult is half price on selected holidays. In the UK, there is a choice of eight adventure centres across the country, from Perthshire in Scotland to the Devon coast. In France, the offer is on holidays at PGL’s château-style adventure centre close to Disneyland® Paris, and canoeing holidays on the Ardèche river.

For example, in France, a seven-night stay at Château de Grande Romaine starting 28 July, 4 or 25 August includes entrance tickets for two days at Disneyland Resort Paris and two days of activities as well as ensuite accommodation and meals (but not travel to France).

The holiday is now offered with one FREE adult place worth £699, and one HALF-PRICE place at £349.50, saving 1048.50 in total – that is when parents share a twin room and the children aged five to 18 years pay £625 each to share an adjacent room. (Three and four year olds pay £349 each.)

In the UK a seven-night holiday at Barton Hall just above Torquay, starting 20 or 27 July, 3, 10, 17 or 24 August would have cost £539 per parent sharing a twin room, with the children paying £459 each for five to 18 year olds in an adjacent room. (Children two to four years old are free.)

With the offer, each family can take advantage of one FREE adult place, and one HALF-PRICE place, saving £539 and £269.50 respectively (£808.50 in total).

Selected four-night UK multi-activity breaks are also included in the offer, for example, four nights at PGL’s Liddington Adventure centre in Wiltshire starting 26 August is now offered with one free adult place worth £405, and a half-price place at £202.50, saving £607. Children five to 18 pay £345 each for the same break.

Activities vary between centres, typically including archery, climbing, water-sports, mountain biking and zip-wire thrills. The evenings are also – especially for the children – full of fun with games and entertainment organised by PGL staff, often enabling parents to relax with a drink after dinner. Accommodation is simple, but all rooms have private shower/wc. All meals are included in holiday prices.  A second offer on alternative summer dates allows one free adult place per family.

Cool Alpine Family Adventures with Zenith Holidays

Activity specialist Zenith Holidays still has availability on ‘cool’ adventures in the French alpine resorts of Tignes, Morzine, Alpe d’Huez and Chamonix – all within an easy drive of the channel ports this summer, with peak August prices from £2240 for a family of four.

Holidays include activities, self-catering accommodation and ferry crossings and are generally suitable for children aged eight years and upwards.

For example, on a seven-night holiday in Chamonix, families can tackle thrilling river rafting and canyoning sessions, plus mountain biking, all under the instruction of local experts, with equipment provided.

Thanks to the resort’s summer Multi-pass, also included in the package, families can take the gondola lift to the top of Brevent Mountain to hike to Flégère for fabulous views of Mont Blanc and the Mer de Glace glacier, before returning to resort level by cable car.

A cycle ride beside the river Arve is also suggested within the five-day activity programme.

On the free day, optional activities that can be arranged include a via ferrata and climbing. Alternatively, Chamonix’s open-air pool, tennis and golf facilities can be enjoyed (own cost).

Accommodation included in the package is a self-catering apartment at the Residence Le Chamois Blanc, 200m from the Aiguille du Midi cable car and close to supermarkets, restaurants and a bakery.

A peak August week for a family of four here costs from £2240. Other accommodation options in Chamonix also available.

Parents Half Price on PGL Family Adventures

PGL Family Adventures has a new offer on six- and seven-night activity holidays in the UK and France this May half term and in the Summer holidays: one parent is now half price per each full-paying child, if booked by 3 May.

In Britain, the deal is on a range of dates at PGL’s adventure centres in Devon, Lincolnshire, Wiltshire, Suffolk, Perthshire and on the Isle of Wight.

For example, on a week-long multi-activity holiday at Barton Hall in Devon starting Saturday 25 May, each parent would have paid £469 if sharing a family room, or £499 if occupying a separate room from the children.

Now, for each full-paying child aged five to 18 years (at a cost of £379 or £409 depending on the room), one parent is half price, paying £234.50 or £249.50 respectively.

This means a family of four could save up to £499 at Barton Hall this half term for a truly inclusive holiday – accommodation, food, activities, tuition, equipment and evening fun! The same principle applies to selected July and August dates, so a family of four could save up to £539 for the same package.

The offer is also valid on selected summer holidays in France, at PGL’s château-style centre near Disneyland Paris (for seven-night stays), and on canoeing holidays in the Ardèche gorge (a six-night holiday).

For example, the Disneyland Adventure holiday, which includes two full days in the theme park and two days of multi-activities at the Château de Grande Romaine, would have cost £609 per parent when sharing a family room, or £699 each if occupying a separate room from the children, but now is just £304.50 or £349.50 respectively. Children aged five to 18 years inclusive pay either £549 or £625 depending on whether they share with parents.

In this case, a family of four could save up to £699 for a holiday that includes everything except travel to France.

AFFORDABLE peak season self-catering chalet holidays in the French Alps…

Family activity specialist, Zenith Holidays, is highlighting a selection of self-catering chalet holidays in the French Alps which are transformed in the warm summer months into an adventure holiday playground featuring pursuits ranging from white water rafting to via ferrata.

Locations on offer include Morzine, an atmospheric alpine village with a beautiful mountain backdrop situated in the heart of the Portes de Soleil, close to the Swiss border.  Activities are endless and include mountain biking, para-gliding, rafting, golf and hiking.
