PGL Family Weekends reduced to as little as £89 per person

Families looking for a last-minute adventure can try a weekend with PGL from only £89 per person, or just £356 for a family of four.

That’s the new price for a two-night break starting 24 August at Boreatton Park in Shropshire in the tented village set within the impressive 240-acre estate.

Families who prefer an ensuite room will now pay from £99 a head at Barton Hall for the weekend starting 16 August, where the outdoor heated pool is just one of the attractions at this centre on the Devon coast above Torquay.

Other breaks starting at £109 per person are available in Suffolk, Wiltshire, Lincolnshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

These new prices represent savings of up to £70 per adult and up to £50 per child with everyone in the family now paying a flat rate regardless of age.

Start dates are Fridays 9 or 16 August and the bank holiday weekend starting Saturday 24 August for a two-night/three-day stay that includes all meals from dinner on arrival day to lunch on departure day, six activity sessions to enjoy and family-friendly evening entertainment.

Accommodation is simple, typically bunk-bedded family rooms, with separate rooms for parents and kids also available at additional cost. All are ensuite, with the obvious exception of Boreatton Park’s tented village where a well-equipped facilities block is nearby.

Activities vary from centre to centre but may include archery, aeroball, ropes course challenges, climbing and fencing. Equipment and instruction are included, with children as young as five being able to participate in most activities (subject to assessment by instructors).

Summer Camps for Kids: up to 60% off with PGL

PGL, the original and best adventure holiday company for children and families, has launched its final sale on this summer’s supervised camps for unaccompanied kids aged seven and upwards.

The organisation’s popular multi-activity weeks are offered at up to 60% off brochure prices. This means that a week’s summer camp for a twelve year old now starts from just £222 at the tented village within Boreatton Park’s fantastic adventure centre in Shropshire.

There are 13 PGL centres to choose from across the UK, from Dalguise in Perthshire to Little Canada on the Isle of Wight and from Tregoyd House in Wales to Bawdsey Manor on the Suffolk coast.

All centres operate throughout the summer holidays, with week-long holidays starting every Saturday between 20 July and 31 August.

7 nights at Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire starting 10, 17 or 24 August is discounted for all age groups within PGL’s overall range of seven to 16, and is now reduced to £250 from £625 – saving 60%.

Parents Go Free on PGL Family Adventures

An amazing new offer from PGL Family Adventures saves up to £1048 on a family week in France and up to £808 on a week’s holiday in the UK.

One parent is free, and a second adult is half price on selected holidays. In the UK, there is a choice of eight adventure centres across the country, from Perthshire in Scotland to the Devon coast. In France, the offer is on holidays at PGL’s château-style adventure centre close to Disneyland® Paris, and canoeing holidays on the Ardèche river.

For example, in France, a seven-night stay at Château de Grande Romaine starting 28 July, 4 or 25 August includes entrance tickets for two days at Disneyland Resort Paris and two days of activities as well as ensuite accommodation and meals (but not travel to France).

The holiday is now offered with one FREE adult place worth £699, and one HALF-PRICE place at £349.50, saving 1048.50 in total – that is when parents share a twin room and the children aged five to 18 years pay £625 each to share an adjacent room. (Three and four year olds pay £349 each.)

In the UK a seven-night holiday at Barton Hall just above Torquay, starting 20 or 27 July, 3, 10, 17 or 24 August would have cost £539 per parent sharing a twin room, with the children paying £459 each for five to 18 year olds in an adjacent room. (Children two to four years old are free.)

With the offer, each family can take advantage of one FREE adult place, and one HALF-PRICE place, saving £539 and £269.50 respectively (£808.50 in total).

Selected four-night UK multi-activity breaks are also included in the offer, for example, four nights at PGL’s Liddington Adventure centre in Wiltshire starting 26 August is now offered with one free adult place worth £405, and a half-price place at £202.50, saving £607. Children five to 18 pay £345 each for the same break.

The long summer holidays are looming, but with PGL’s new offer, the cost of summer camps that not only entertain but help kids grow in confidence just halved!
