Introduce Children to PGL this Half Term and save £££

A three-day/two-night PGL Introductory Adventure at October half term is the perfect opportunity for unaccompanied children to discover their independence – and have fun!

The cost for one child is £169, but an offer – book three children and only pay for two – encourages three siblings or friends to try PGL together, at a reduced price. With the offer, the cost per child is reduced to £112.

The discounted breaks are for children aged seven to 13, start on Tuesday 23 October and are offered at PGL’s Boreatton Park adventure centre in Shropshire, Liddington in Wiltshire, Marchants Hill in Surrey, Windmill Hill in Sussex and Osmington Bay in Dorset.

“Every child on an Introductory Adventure is experiencing PGL for the first time,” says head of holidays Steve Hougham, “and we know that for many children, it is also the first time they’ve been away without a parent, so our Group Leaders are trained to give additional support.”

PGL’s website is packed with information helpful to parents of ‘first-timers’, from its Parent Guide to several videos illustrating life at a PGL centre.

Parents can deliver their children to the centre on Tuesday morning, see the amazing facilities for themselves and meet PGL staff who are ‘in loco parentis’ during the break. (All meals from Tuesday lunch to Thursday dinner are included.)

During the three-day break, children enjoy up to eight activity sessions, ranging from fun ball sports to thrilling rope and zip wire activities. Evenings are fun too, with ‘winding down’ sessions before supervised bedtime.

Parents should quote INTRO342 when booking this ‘3 for 2’ offer.

Additionally, if parents subsequently book a child’s four- or seven-night multi-activity stay at February half term, Easter or May half term 2019, before the end of this year, PGL will refund the cost of the Introductory Adventure!

October Half Term Holidays for Kids: Save up to 50% with PGL

For parents wondering how to fill October half term (when it feels like the children have only just gone back to school), PGL has the solution: a multi-activity holiday at up to half price!

Week-long holidays operate at seven PGL adventure centres across the UK: in Surrey, Sussex, Dorset, Suffolk, Wiltshire, Shropshire and Lancashire. Activities vary slightly from centre to centre but typically range from A for abseiling to Z for zip-wire thrills, with additional activities and entertainment

Now, selected holidays are discounted for arrivals on either 20 or 27 October and the more children book, the bigger the discount.

Send one child and the holiday is discounted by 30%, send two and save 40%, book three children and all three holidays are discounted by a massive 50%.

For example, Boreatton Park in Shropshire has discounted places for children in all three of PGL’s age groups, that is seven to ten, 10-13 and 13-16 year olds on seven-night holidays starting 20 and 27 October.

The original price of the holiday was £539, but is now discounted to £377.30 for one child (quote OCT1X when booking), £323.40 each for two children (quote OCT2X), or £269.50 each when three children book (quote OCT3X).

All PGL holidays include accommodation, meals, activities, instruction, equipment, evening entertainment and caring supervision.

PGL’s special activity holiday insurance must be booked to take advantage of this offer (£37 per child on a seven-night holiday).

Save 50% on Half Term Family Adventures at PGL Centres

Activity holiday company PGL is offering 50% off Family Adventure breaks at three of its UK centres this October half term.

Four-night Monday to Friday breaks start on 22 and 29 October, with prices now from £588 for a family of two adults and two children five to 18 years, saving £588 – half price! That’s when sharing a simple but ensuite family room.

When parents opt for a twin with children in an adjacent room, a four-night stay is also now half price, down to £628.

As always with PGL, breaks include accommodation, all meals, activities, equipment and family-orientated evening fun, making them great value. Locations with half price breaks are Liddington in Wiltshire, Boreatton Park on the Welsh borders and Osmington Bay on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

Activities vary from centre to centre but may include archery, aeroball, ropes course challenges, climbing and fencing.

While most children aged five and upwards can take part in all activities, tinies aged two, three and four years old are also welcome and are completely free, but PGL does not have creche facilities so a parent must take responsibility for the non-participating child at all times.

Save up to 60% off the Last of the Summer Camps with PGL

The week starting Saturday 25 August (or Monday 27 August for short breaks) marks the last week of 2018 summer camps for unaccompanied children. PGL has slashed remaining places by up to 60% off brochure prices, for both multi-activity breaks and week-long themed holidays, at centres across the UK.

For example, at Boreatton Park, PGL’s long-established adventure centre that covers 240 acres on the Welsh borders, a seven-night multi-activity holiday that originally cost £609 is now £243.60, saving 60%. The deal is across all PGL age groups, that is seven to ten year olds, 10-13s and 13-16s.

At Winmarleigh Hall in Lancashire, there are discounted places for seven to ten year olds and the teenage group on the seven-night holiday the same week, with the original brochure price of £589 reduced by 60% to just £235.60.

Shorter breaks of four nights are also offered at some centres, with a short break at LIddington in Wiltshire starting Bank Holiday Monday 27 August now only £210, reduced by 60% from £525.

Selected themed holidays are also discounted, such as a seven-night Motorsports holiday at Osmington Bay in Dorset for 13-16 year olds, which was £699 but is now reduced by 40% to £419.40.  Another example is PGL’s Cook’s Academy, which offers 10-13 year olds an introduction to cooking. This is now reduced to £489.30, saving 30%.  All themed holidays spend half the week focussing on the ‘specialism’ and the other half on adventures taken from the centre’s multi-activity timetable.

All summer camps include accommodation, meals, activities, instruction, equipment, evening entertainment and caring supervision. PGL’s special activity holiday insurance must be booked to take advantage of this offer (£37 per child on a seven-night holiday).
