Multi-activity holidays in Croatia, staying with the locals…

Multi-activity holidays in Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes National Park – based in the tiny riverside village of Korana and staying with local residents in their private guesthouses – is the latest offering from specialist operator, Zenith Holidays.

Highlights of these seven-night holidays include walking the wooden paths and bridges in and around Plitvice Lakes, Croatia’s premier national park.  It’s exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue lakes, more than 90 waterfalls and numerous caves make it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Guests also enjoy a kayaking trip down the Zrmanja River in the Velebit Nature Park – with its clear and green waters, rapids, waterfalls and hidden swimming pools – and rafting down the Una River which forms a natural border between Croatia and Bosnia.

There is also kayaking in the Mrzenica River Canyon to the second highest waterfall on the Mrzenica (eight kms), a magical place for a swim and picnic, and a day of cycling on virtually traffic free roads through forests, between hills and across unspoilt countryside.

Twin-share prices start at £571 per person inclusive of seven nights’ riverside homestay half-board accommodation, five days of organised activities with use of cycles, kayaks, canoes, rafts, paddles, life jackets and helmets, plus private ground transportation throughout and the services of an English-speaking guide.

Return airport transfers from Zagreb or Zadar are also included and Zenith is happy to advise on flight options.
