The Christmas collection from Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire

For a Christmas in the glorious scenery of West Wales, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a wealth of properties, each snug and cosy and many with open fires or woodburning stoves.

Properties on offer include Rhosson Farmhouse, a detached thatched cottage dating back to the 15th century and just yards from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and a short walk from the sea at St Justinians.  It sleeps eight in four bedrooms (two en suite) and is full of character with beams, exposed walls and slate-flagged floors.  It has two sitting rooms – one with an inglenook fireplace and a woodburning stove – a dining room, a beautifully equipped kitchen, plus a relaxation room with a sauna.  There is also a conservatory which overlooks an acre of garden.  A seven-night holiday from 21 December costs £1678.

Smaller families could opt to spend Christmas in The Cheese House, a detached stone cottage originally used for the storage of mature cheeses.  This beautifully renovated property – situated in the hamlet of Lochvane near the seaside village of Solva – sleeps four in two bedrooms and its open-plan living area has a log burning stove.  The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a short stroll away and a few minutes’ walk leads to the beach of Porthmynawyd.  A seven-night holiday from 21 December is priced at £950.

Or for couples, Sycamore Barn is a romantic retreat for two, set in National Trust land not far from the village of Bosherton.  This quality cottage has a stylish kitchen/dining room and two steps lead up to the sitting room with exposed beams, the original inglenook fireplace and exposed stone walls.  Its location is perfect for keen walkers with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path leading to hidden sandy beaches and stunning clifftop scenery.  Seven nights from 21 December cost £535.
