The Fishguard Music Festival in the stunning scenery of Pembrokeshire

23 July sees the start of the International Fishguard Music Festival, a 12-day world-class event set against the stunning backdrop of North Pembrokeshire.

The combination of fabulous music and magical settings makes for a memorable experience and the event, established since 1969, takes place at several venues in Fishguard, around various towns and villages in North Pembrokeshire, plus the stunning Cathedral in the tiny city of St Davids.

This year performers include the National Youth Choir of Wales, Jacqui Dankworth and Craig Ogden, the Dodo Street Band, the Welsh National Opera Ensemble, pianist Peter Donohue, the WNO Orchestra and Celtic music trio, ALAW.  Further information and details of how to buy tickets can be found at https://fishguardmusicfestival.co.uk/

For those looking for accommodation in – and around – Fishguard, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a selection of properties including, for example, 15 Newport Road, a detached Grade II listed stone cottage just yards from the picturesque harbour of Lower Town Fishguard.

The property, with beams and sash windows, sleeps five in three bedrooms, each with a sea view, and steps lead up to a terraced rear garden with stunning vistas out to sea.  A seven-night holiday from 21 or 28 July is priced at £840.
