Follow the Yellow Jersey with Zenith Holidays…

7 July sees the start of the 2018 Tour de France, the most fervently supported and highly anticipated sporting event in France with even those who don’t know their cycle clips from their hand pumps recognising the famous yellow jersey of the stage leader.

The gruelling final alpine climb of Stage 12 takes place on 19 July as riders battle it out on a journey of 175 kms – with 21 iconic hairpin bends – from Bourg-Saint Maurice to Alpe d’Huez.

For fans keen to experience this epic race – now in its 105th year – Zenith Holidays is highlighting a selection of self-catering chalets in Alpe d’Huez including Chalet Hermione, which enjoys a superb location with the tour usually going past its balcony.

This smart property sleeps up to 10 people in four bedrooms – making it ideal for families and groups of friends – with a seven-night holiday from 14 July costing £1918 including bed linen, towels and end of stay cleaning.

Zenith can also arrange a wealth of activities – including road cycling and mountain biking – plus pursuits such as hiking and rafting.  The company can also organise Eurotunnel or ferry crossings on request.
