More villas with private pools in Tuscany with Vintage Travel…

Villa specialist, Vintage Travel, has expanded its collection of properties in Tuscany with II Mulino – an impressive stone mill dating back to the 18th century – making its debut

This carefully restored and welcoming home sleeps six in three en suite bedrooms and nestles in a hidden valley north of Lucca.  It is surrounded by woodland bordered by a babbling brook and in its grounds of terraced gardens and lawns there is a private swimming pool and a covered dining terrace.

A five-minute drive – or a 20-minute walk – leads to the bustling village of Fornoli with its bakery, banks, bars and couple of restaurants. There is a station in the village with regular trains to Lucca (30 minutes), Pisa (60 minutes) and Florence (approximately two hours). A seven-night holiday in June and early July costs from £2650, rising to £2688 in peak season.

Or, Casa Leopolda is a smart, contemporary villa situated in a small hamlet with views of the stunning Tuscan towns of Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino.   It sleeps eight in four bedrooms (two en suite) and in its large lawned garden there is a private fenced swimming pool, a covered dining terrace and a barbeque.  Nearby is the village of Fratta (3.5 kms) with several restaurants and slightly further afield (11 kms)  is the elegant town of Cortona.  A seven-night holiday in May costs from £2786, rising to £4292 in peak season.

Flights and car hire can be arranged by Vintage Travel on request.
