Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire’s Woof Guide, for dog loving families

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting its dog friendly website – www.thewoofguide.com – a valuable resource for pet-loving families planning a stress-free holiday with their dog

Not only does the website feature cottages happy to accept pooches, but lists them for their suitability for five categories of pet ranging from pups to pensioners.
It also has sections which features beaches where dogs are welcome, walking route suggestions and restaurants and pubs where four-legged friends are well-received.

Pet-friendly properties include Crofta Cottage (sleeping six) in Little Haven where an outside shower – ideal for washing sand from paws and coats – awaits dogs after walkies on the beach just 100 yards away.  There’s also an enclosed garden and the lounge has an open fire, perfect for snoozing by.

This traditional, detached cottage is just a short walk from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and costs, for example, £669 for a seven-night holiday at the beginning of June or at the end of August.   Up two dogs are welcome at a cost of £10 each.

Other pet-friendly properties include Willowcot Cottage (sleeping two) where dogs are welcomed on arrival with their own ‘hamper’ of treats, towels and blankets.  Owners aren’t forgotten either and are greeted with wine, Welsh cakes and chocolates.

This cosy property, which has an enclosed garden, is in the village of Talbenny in the Pembrokeshire National Park and is just over a mile from Little Haven’s picturesque cove and also close to a number of other beaches.  A seven-night holiday at the end of June is priced at £561 increasing to £750 in peak season.  Up to two dogs are welcome at a cost of £10 each.
