Experience Pembrokeshire in Wales’ Year of the Sea

2018 marks Wales’ Year of the Sea which salutes the country’s outstanding coastline and shores.

For those who wish to experience Wales’ stunning shores, Pembrokeshire is a county surrounded on three sides by water and no part of it is more than 14 miles from the sea!

The best way to enjoy the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline is from the Coastal Path, some 186 miles from St Dogmaels in the north to Amroth in the south taking in award-winning beaches, harbours, inlets, islands and spectacular cliff-top scenery.

Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is featuring more than 500 properties in 2018, ideally placed for taking in the scenery or walking the Coastal Path.

New for 2018 is Y Fagal, a stone cottage – full of character with an inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove– in a quite hamlet above Ceibwr Bay and just yards from the Coastal Path.  It sleeps six in three bedrooms and from the sitting room there is a wonderful sea view.  The cottage – a former traditional long house and barn – has a sheltered terrace and a lawned garden looking out over the headland and a short walk leads to the inlet and beach.  Nearby is the bustling village of Newport, with its shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.
A seven-night holiday in 2018 starts at £485, rising to £1090.

Also new for 2018 is Beachways, a spacious cottage just yards from the beach in the seaside village of Little Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park  The cottage, which sleeps eight in four bedrooms, has been renovated throughout and the sitting room has a wood burning stove and a window seat overlooking the bay.  There is a raised decked roof terrace with sea views and a passageway gives direct access – away from cars – to the beach which is great for swimming and sailing enthusiasts.  Pubs, cafes and restaurants are all on the doorstep.
A seven-night holiday in 2018 starts at £625, increasing to £1799 in peak season.
