Beside the seaside, beside the sea… at October half-term

For families whose top priority is to be beside the sea at October half-term, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire is highlighting a selection of beachside properties, many just yards from the shoreline.

These include 16 Water’s Edge, a luxurious apartment on Tenby’s South Beach.  The property sleeps four in two bedrooms (one en suite) and has a light and airy living space – where floor to ceiling glass maximises the sea views – and a balcony overlooking the beach. There is direct access to South Beach and a short walk leads to the centre of ancient Tenby, with its cobbled streets lined with shops, bars, restaurants and galleries.  A week from 21 October is priced at £810.

Set amongst the sand dunes of Abereiddy Beach and just yards from the sea is Towyn, a cottage full of character (sleeping six in three bedrooms) with a vaulted ceiling, beams and an exposed stone chimney breast with an open fire.  The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path – with its stunning scenery of spectacular cliffs and hidden coves – passes close to the cottage and a short drive leads to the tiny city of St Davids.  A week from 20 October costs £683.

Or 19 St Bride’s Bay is a luxurious apartment in the popular seaside village of Broad Haven with unparalleled views over the beach and out to sea. It sleeps six in three bedrooms (one en suite) and its open-plan living area has a large bay window looking over the sandy beach and St Bride’s Bay.  Everything for a family holiday is close by; the beach, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, a restaurant, a shop, a pub and cafe.  Seven nights from 21 October is priced at £600.
